CC Payment Server runs on Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 and Windows
2000.
The server runs as a "service process," allowing
it to process credit cards in the backround. Since NT services
are not supported on Windows 95 and Windows 98,
CC Payment Server cannot operate as a server on those systems.
(However, you can use Windows 95/98 as a client,
sending orders to CC Payment Server.)

The software interfaces to your business through a database
system. Currently, supported databases include:
- Oracle (all versions, including 8i)
- Microsoft SQLServer
- Sybase
- and Microsoft Access.
If you're using a different database system let
us know, we'd be happy to discuss adding that system to
our "supported" list for you!

CC Payment Server requires a "POS-Port" to communicate
with your bank. This device is provided by and supported through
the bank hosting your Merchant Account, although our support
team will attempt to answer any questions you have concerning
your POS-Port.

In a large scale E–commerce or Telemarketing Environment,
we recommend that CC Payment Server be installed on two systems
to offer fault tolerance and 24x7 operation.
This allows one server to be dedicated to the time-sensitive task of
processing authorization requests,
and the other to handle the Settlement process (that can be
handled after hours and are not time-critical as authorizations).
Plus, the Settlement Server can act as the "hot-standby"
for the Authorization server in the event of any problems.
